General Information

• What happened to my First Republic deposit account(s)?
  Your First Republic business deposit account have transitioned to JPMorgan Chase.
  
  First Republic online and mobile banking are now “view only.” Your online banking activity will need to be conducted on JPMorgan Chase’s digital platforms.
• Did my account and routing numbers change?
  Your First Republic account and routing numbers were transferred to JPMorgan Chase. Your account number did not change, but you will see a new routing number for your transferred First Republic deposit accounts in JPMorgan Chase online and mobile banking. Both your prior First Republic and the new JPMorgan Chase routing numbers will work to send and receive payments. You can continue to use either routing number until you are notified otherwise.
• Can I visit a Chase branch to make transactions?
  Yes, you can bank at any Chase branch. Visit chase.com/branch to find a location near you.
• Who can I call if I have questions?
  You can call Chase at 1-888-823-2991, weekdays (5 a.m. to 9 p.m. Pacific Time) and Saturday and Sunday (5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific Time).

  No, your privacy preferences did not transfer.

• What’s happening with my other First Republic accounts?
  Other First Republic accounts or features may transfer at different times, and you’ll receive separate communications about them, if applicable.
• Do I need to take any action on my First Republic deposit account(s) that have now transitioned to Chase to claim my funds / outstanding checks?
  If you opened your deposit account(s) prior to May 1, 2023 or you have outstanding checks issued by First Republic prior to May 1, 2023, you must take action to claim ownership before November 1, 2024. This is an important Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) requirement.
  
  Claim your deposits:

  • Write a check on the account.
  • Make a deposit or withdrawal/payment to the account.
  • Schedule an automatic direct deposit or withdrawal/payment.
  • Initiate an online transfer between your deposit accounts.
  • Make a transaction at a Chase branch.

  Claim uncashed official bank checks issued on First Republic:

  • All bank drafts (such as official checks, cashier’s checks, dividend checks, interest checks and expense checks) issued on First Republic must be cashed prior to November 1, 2024.
  • If you have multiple deposit accounts that use the same tax identification number (TIN), you only need to take action on one account; the remaining deposit accounts using the same TIN will automatically be claimed.
  • Deposits or withdrawals from investment accounts or interest payments made by on checking or savings accounts do not qualify.

  If you are unable to take any of the above actions to claim your deposits, you can:

  • Write to First Republic at the address below and ask that your account(s) remain active.

Online and Mobile Access

• How do I access my transferred deposit account(s) at Chase for Business®?
  Follow the instructions below based on your current digital access.
  
  If you already have a Chase Business^® Online profile:

  • Simply sign in to Chase for Business^®. Your transferred account(s) were automatically added to your existing Chase Business^® Online profile.

  If you used First Republic online banking or mobile apps and are new to Chase for Business^®:

  • Set up your account at chase.com/FirstRepublicSetup. You will need your Social Security number and your First Republic/JPMorgan Chase deposit account number (deposit account numbers have not changed).
  • If you don’t know your First Republic/JPMorgan Chase deposit account number, log into First Republic online or mobile app and choose the ‘View account number’ button to see account numbers for your transferred account(s).

  If you did not use First Republic online banking or mobile apps and are new to Chase for Business^®:

  • Go to chase.com/business and choose the ‘Not enrolled? Sign up now’ link.
  • You will need your Social Security number and your First Republic/JPMorgan Chase deposit account number (deposit account numbers have not changed).
  • If you don’t know your First Republic/JPMorgan Chase deposit account number, you can find it on your First Republic checks.

  NOTE:
  
  Personal and business deposit account(s) may need to be accessed on different digital platforms. You can add your personal deposit account(s) to your business profile by following the steps here.
  
  If you use Treasury Management Products, you’ll also have access to JPMorgan Access or Connect for those services.

• How do I find my deposit account number?
  If you need your deposit account number to set up digital access at JPMorgan Chase, you can find it on First Republic checks or follow the instructions below.
  
  For First Republic Banking Online and mobile app users: Account holders can find their deposit account numbers in the Account Transfer Center on Banking Online and the mobile app.
  
  For First Republic Corporate Online users: Account holders and Corporate Online users can find their deposit account numbers on the dashboard homepage of Corporate Online.
• Where can I find video tutorials for using Chase platform?
  You can find video tutorials here.
• Can I continue to use First Republic online and mobile banking now that my deposit account(s) have transitioned?
  Yes, but you will only be able to view your information, not make any transfers and transactions. We won’t be updating deposit account information, balances and recent transactions on First Republic channels. Use Chase Business Online and the Chase Mobile^® app¹ to see current deposit account balance information and recent transactions and to manage your account(s).
  
  We will, however, continue to update balances and transaction information for loan and investment accounts on First Republic online banking and mobile apps for any accounts that haven’t transferred yet. If you need help with those accounts, including making loan payments or transactions, call us at (888) 408-0288. We may not be able to process same-day payments and transactions, so please plan accordingly.
• Will I still be able to add and view my external accounts in First Republic online and mobile platforms?
  No, previously added external accounts and the ability to add them were removed.
• I use a third-party service other than Quicken and/or QuickBooks to view my First Republic account(s). Do I need to take any action to maintain the connection with my account(s) that have transitioned?
  Yes. You can re-establish your connection using your Chase Business Online sign-in credentials, and you will see up to 90 days of transaction history. If you choose to remove your First Republic account(s) from the third party, you may lose access to older transaction history.
• I use Quicken and/or QuickBooks to view my First Republic account(s). Do I need to take any action to maintain the connection with my account(s) that have transitioned?

  Yes. You can re-establish your connection using your Chase Business^® sign-in credentials, and you will see up to 90 days of transaction history. If you choose to remove your First Republic account(s) from the third party, you may lose access to older transaction history. For more information on how to reconnect your account(s), visit:

Debit and ATM Cards

• What ATMs do I have access to?
  First Republic ATMs have been decommissioned. but you have access to 15,000+ Chase ATMs.
  

  • You continue to have no-fee access to Chase ATMs.
  • You should continue to have non-Chase ATM access. Fees may apply.
• When will Chase send our new debit and ATM cards?

  Continue to use your First Republic debit or ATM card until you receive your new Chase card in June 2024. Your new card:

  • Will have the same PIN but a different card number and expiration date.
  • May have different purchase and withdrawal limits than you have today.
• When will my First Republic debit card stop working?
  Please activate your new Chase debit or ATM card as soon as you receive it. Your First Republic debit or ATM card will stop working when you activate your new Chase card. If you don’t activate your new card, your old card may stop working.

Deposits, Payments and Transfers

• Will all my payments and transfers continue?
  No. Any recurring or future dated (after May 24, 2024) bill pay, Zelle^®, wire or transfer payments you set up at First Republic were not transitioned to JPMorgan Chase and will need to be set up again with Chase Online^SM Banking.

  • The online bill pay recipients you set up on firstrepublic.com and the First Republic mobile banking app transferred to Chase, but you need to reestablish any recurring or future-dated bill payments and transfers. You can do this with Chase Business Online^® Banking or the Chase Mobile^® app.
  • Your Zelle®2 payees transferred to Chase, but you will need to re-enroll in Zelle^® using the Chase Mobile^® app¹ or with Chase Business Online^® Banking. You can no longer make Zelle^® transfers from your First Republic account(s).
  • Preauthorized ACH scheduled transfers and preauthorized internal scheduled transfers that have been established through your banker did not transition with your accounts. You will need to utilize a comparable JPMorgan Chase service through Chase Business Online^S® Banking or the Chase Mobile^® app.¹
• What payment types are unaffected and will continue now that my deposit accounts have transitioned?
  The following payment types are unaffected and will continue:
  

  • Direct deposit — direct deposits into your account will continue using your checking or savings account number.
  • ACH — automated electronic payments (ACH) you have set up on the website of a third party (such as a utility company) to be deducted from your First Republic deposit account(s) using your checking or savings account number will continue.
  • Automatic monthly payments for First Republic loans — if you are enrolled in the First Republic auto-debit program (automatic payments) and those payments are made from your First Republic deposit account(s) using your checking or savings account number, this service will continue.
• Can I continue to use my checks?
  Yes, you can continue using your current First Republic checks until they run out, as your First Republic account number and routing number were transferred over to JPMorgan Chase. 
  
  If you'd like to order new JPMorgan- or Chase-branded checks, you can place an order on JPMorgan Chase online banking or by visiting a Chase branch. Note that these new checks will have an updated JPMorgan Chase routing number.
• Did incoming wire instructions change now that my First Republic deposit account transitioned to JPMorgan Chase?
  International Wires: Yes. For incoming international wires (both USD and FX), you must update your payment instructions to reflect J.P. Morgan Chase’s SWIFT BIC (CHASUS33).
  
  Domestic Wires: For incoming domestic USD wires, you can continue to use your First Republic Fed ABA routing number (321081669).
• I schedule bill payments in Quicken and/or QuickBooks through First Republic’s Banking Online bill payment services. Can I continue to submit payments through Quicken and/or QuickBooks?
  No, JPMorgan Chase does not offer bill payment services through Quicken and/or QuickBooks. You will be able to use a Chase for Business^® bill payment service.
• Will I continue to have access to my Move Money activity history on First Republic online banking and mobile apps, including historical transfers, Zelle^® activity, wires, mobile check deposits, and bill payments?
  For First Republic Banking Online and mobile app users: All Move Money functionality in First Republic Banking Online and mobile app is, including the ability to see activity by Move Money type (transfers, Zelle^®, wires, mobile check deposits, and bill payments).
  
  However, you can view up to 18 months of First Republic transaction history on your main and account dashboards, and view and save up to seven (7) years of First Republic historical statements and documents. Your information will roll off over time. These platforms will be retired in the future, but we will notify you ahead of time.
  
  For First Republic Corporate Online users: All money movement functionality in First Republic Corporate Online and mobile app is disabled. However, transaction history for money movement services will remain available, with the exception of Bill Pay and Bill Center. Bill Pay is unavailable, and Bill Center will be unavailable after June 14, 2024.
  
  You can also view up to 6 months of transaction history on your main account dashboard, up to 18 months of history within Information Reporting, and up to seven (7) years of First Republic historical statements and documents.
  
  Your information will roll off over time. These platforms will be retired in the future, but we will notify you ahead of time.

Statements and Documents

• Can I access First Republic transaction history and copies of past statements and tax documents?
  You can see up to eighteen (18) months of transaction history, seven (7) years of your previous First Republic deposit account statements and  2023 tax statements on Chase Business^®Online.
  
  Please note that there may be changes to historical debit card and other transaction descriptions when reviewing your transaction history starting May 28, 2024. These are not new transactions, just modified descriptions for past transactions.
• Did my First Republic paperless preference for statements transfer to Chase?
  No, your paperless preference did not transfer. You will need to re-enroll after May 27 with Chase Business^® Online.

Access and Security

• Did my fraud alerts carry over automatically?
  No, you will need to enroll and activate fraud alerts on Chase Business^® Online or the Chase Mobile^® app.
• Will I automatically receive ACH Fraud Prevention Services and Check Fraud Prevention Services?

  No, if you were enrolled in these services at First Republic, you need to re-enroll.

  No, if used a First Republic security token to access your account, and require one now, your token needs to be replaced.
