Tom Byers and Michele Mandell are an enterprising and energetic couple. After receiving his Ph.D. from U.C. Berkeley, Tom worked for many years in Silicon Valley as an entrepreneur. He is currently a popular professor at Stanford University, concentrating on technology ventures and innovation. Michele, also a Cal grad, began her career in the tech industry, and she later moved on to study culinary arts.
